Campaign down to the wire in contested NY-19 race

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY— Even on election day, organizations like the Working Families Party continue to campaign, urging Sullivan County voters to get out to vote.

Sullivan voters could have the power to decide the balance of power in the U.S. House of Representatives as they vote in the highly contested 19th Congressional House race.

Sandra Oxford, one of the five officers in New York state for the Working Families Party, said she completed her last phone bank at 1:00 PM on election day, working to “the bitter end” to get Sullivan County voters to vote for Democratic candidate Josh Riley in the highly contested House race.

Marc Molinaro’s campaign sent an email blast telling voters the future of the US House hangs in the balance and that every vote counts. He urged voters in NY’s 19th congressional district to get their friends and themselves to the polls, asking, “Can I count on you?”
