GLEN SPEY, NY — The haunted Burn Brae Mansion comes alive with a lineup of Halloween experiences “designed to delight, fright and entertain guests of all ages,” the venue wrote. Offerings range from the Dark Forest Fright Trail and a children’s matinee to a Halloween Night cemetery tour and a bonus murder mystery in November.

Completed in 1908, Burn Brae Mansion is described as one of the Hudson Valley’s most historic—and most haunted—properties. Operating as a year-round bed-and-breakfast, it is also available for overnight stays, private paranormal investigations and special events; the mansion has been featured on numerous paranormal investigation shows.

Here’s what’s happening this weekend:

Dark Forest 2026: The Law Dogs Manhunt, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24

“Four of America’s most wanted criminals have taken refuge in the woods behind Burn Brae Mansion, where they believe they’re beyond the reach of the law. But an elite team of bounty hunters known as the Law Dogs is closing in, setting the stage for a terrifying showdown.”

The evening also features live music, vendors, food, cocktails, and photo opportunities. “Equal parts immersive theater and psychological nightmare, the Dark Forest continues a Halloween tradition that has thrilled and terrified thousands of visitors for more than three decades.”

Live music with Ali McDowell, October 23 and 24

The Dark Forest Kids’ Matinee, Sunday, October 25 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“For one magical afternoon, Dark Forest trades spooky for silly and fright for delight. Young visitors can explore the trail in daylight, encountering whimsical characters and plenty of Halloween surprises along the way. The afternoon also features games, treat bags, and food and refreshments for the whole family.” Proceeds from this event benefit the Eldred Little League.

The mansion is located at 573 High Road. For details and reservations, visit www.BurnBraeMansion.com or call 845/856-3335.
