Public safety is one of the most important issues facing our communities, and it will play a major role in how I vote. Many residents are concerned about crime in Scranton and believe city leaders have not done enough to address it. Whether it’s violent incidents making headlines or a broader sense that neighborhoods are becoming less safe, these concerns deserve serious attention, not excuses or political spin.

As voters consider who should represent northeastern Pennsylvania in Congress, they should examine each candidate’s record and priorities. For me, supporting law enforcement and standing up for safe communities are essential qualities in a representative.

That is one reason I support Congressman Rob Bresnahan. I believe he has consistently backed law enforcement and public safety initiatives while focusing on the concerns of working families throughout our region. Northeastern Pennsylvania deserves leaders who take public safety seriously. On Election Day, that will be one of the issues guiding my vote.
