Congressman Rob Bresnahan’s campaign announced that he has earned the endorsement of Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), representing transit workers, including bus drivers, mechanics and rail operators across Pennsylvania. The endorsement adds to a growing coalition of labor unions supporting Bresnahan’s campaign for re-election.
“The ATU has always been clear about one thing: we support our allies, regardless of party,” said ATU Local 164 President/Business Agent Robert Christopher. “Rep. Rob Bresnahan didn’t have to stand with us. He chose to. He looked at a bill that could save transit workers’ lives and he said yes. That’s what real leadership looks like. Rob knows our district, he knows working people, and he’s shown up for us when it matters. We are proud to endorse him, and we encourage every ATU member in northeastern Pennsylvania to get out and vote for Rob Bresnahan.”
The Amalgamated Transit Union is the largest labor union representing transit workers across the United States and Canada, advocating for strong public transportation systems, workforce protections, and long-term infrastructure investment.
“I’m honored to have earned the support and trust of ATU, and I’ll continue fighting for the men and women who power our transportation systems and our economy,” said Bresnahan. “As a former union electrical contractor, I understand firsthand the importance of investing in infrastructure and supporting the workers who keep northeastern Pennsylvania moving.”
