Bresnahan endorsed by AFGE

Congressman Rob Bresnahan’s (R, PA-08) campaign announced that he has earned the endorsement of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) and the American Federation of Government Employees District 3. AFGE is the largest federal employee union in the country and AFGE District 3, which includes Pennsylvania and Delaware, represents nearly 33,000 federal employees across the two states.

“Rob Bresnahan took a courageous stand to defend federal collective bargaining and has fought every day for the pay and dignity of correctional officers, VA staff, SSA workers, and TSOs across our region. That’s why AFGE named him Outstanding New Member of Congress at our 2026 Legislative Conference,” AFGE District 3 National Vice President Phil Glover said. “AFGE District 3 is proud to endorse him for re-election.”

“From USP Canaan to Tobyhanna Army Depot, the VA, and the Social Security Administration, I am proud to represent more than 10,000 federal employees across NEPA,” said Bresnahan. “I’m grateful for their support and proud of the bipartisan work we’ve done to protect collective bargaining rights and push for better pay for correctional officers. I will always stand with the men and women who keep our government services running.”

Bresnahan is one of only two Republican Congressmen or congressional candidates in Pennsylvania to receive AFGE’s endorsement, demonstrating his strength with working-class voters in a heavily working-class district.
