REGION — Bold Gold Media announced the expansion of local radio show “Ciliberto & Friends,” hosted by veteran broadcaster Paul Ciliberto. A new show, titled “Ciliberto & Friends in the Afternoon,” can now be heard weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thunder 102.

The new show marks Ciliberto’s return to Thunder 102, where he helped build one of the region’s most recognizable radio brands, Bold Gold said. He will continue hosting “Ciliberto & Friends in the Morning” weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Catskills News Talk 92.5 and 94.9.

“The afternoon program will deliver the same community-focused approach that has defined Ciliberto’s career, blending country music with local news, events, interviews and conversations that matter to listeners throughout Sullivan County and the Catskills, Delaware County and the Pocono Lake region of Pennsylvania,” Bold Gold said.

The morning show on Catskills News Talk has become a daily destination for conversations with local elected officials, business leaders, nonprofit organizations and nationally recognized guests, the company continued.

“Paul has always been more than a radio personality; he’s a trusted voice in our community,” said Dawn Ciorciari, general manager of Bold Gold Media Group’s New York region. “Bringing him back to Thunder 102 in the afternoons feels like a homecoming. It gives our listeners another opportunity each day to stay informed, connected and engaged with what’s happening across our region while reinforcing our commitment to truly local radio.”

Ciliberto has been in radio broadcasting for 50 years, with over 20 in Thunder Country. During his original 18-year run on Thunder 102, “Ciliberto & Friends” became the longest-running live radio show in Sullivan County history, the company said. Three years ago, as the program evolved toward a news-talk format, it moved to Catskills News Talk.

Throughout his career, Ciliberto has been recognized with numerous honors, including the SYDA Community Service Award, the Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellowship, Hudson Valley Radio Personality of the Year, multiple River Reporter “Best Of” awards and recognition as a finalist for the Country Music Association Small Market Personality of the Year.

“I’m thrilled to be back on Thunder 102, where it all started for me 20 years ago,” said Ciliberto, who now also serves as senior advisor to the Bold Gold Media NY region. “It’s so important to continue featuring guests and information vital to the Thunder County community of Sullivan and the Catskills, Delaware County and the Pocono Lake Region of Pennsylvania.”
