Assemblyman Joseph Angelino reacted to an intra-department report from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), directed to New York State Operations Director Jackie Bray about the cost the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) will have on New York.
“The report from NYSERDA about the true cost of the CLCPA proves what I have been saying all along: the CLCPA will cause prices to skyrocket. Don’t just take it from me, but from NYSERDA, under their estimates, people could see their household costs increase to over $4,000 annually.
This begs the question: Why? Why does the governor refuse to admit the CLCPA was a mistake? Why is the legislature hellbent on keeping it in place? We need answers, and we need them now if Albany Democrats are content to cause fiscal harm to families, businesses and the whole state economy all to virtue signal and avoid primaries from socialists.”
Assemblyman Joseph Angelino (R,C-121)
Norwich, NY
