ONLINE — Farm-, food- and natural-resources-based business owners interested in work-related and business development resources can learn about hiring, succession planning and on-site safety by attending free webinars hosted by Penn State Extension.
Registration deadlines and fees vary by event; organizers encourage preregistration for webinars, available on the Penn State Extension website at www.extension.psu.edu/agworks2026.
The AgWorks webinar series offers the following programs in April:
— “Ready to Hire?” 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 8. This webinar will explore essential HR steps for compliant and successful hiring, from job descriptions and pay structures to required postings and key employer responsibilities in Pennsylvania. Register at bit.ly/41azN72.
— “Making Ethical Choices at Work,” 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 8. This session examines the difference between morals and ethics, introduces major theories of right and wrong, and highlights the importance of workplace ethics in production and food systems. Register at bit.ly/47BHl6l.
— “Farmers Can Retire Too: Zero-Based Spending Plans,” noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 9.
