WAYMART, PA — “It’s a day designed to focus on yourself while enjoying activities with others. The combination of workshops offers enriching opportunities for health and happiness, energy and tranquility,” said Wayne Memorial Community Relations Manager Carol Kneier. “Plus a buffet lunch and a chance to win prizes.”
Traditionally one of Wayne Memorial Hospital’s most popular annual events, the Women Only Luncheon Symposium, now in its 24th year, will take place on Friday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ladore’s Performing Arts and Recreation Center.
This year’s program includes a keynote address by Ryanne Jennings, president/CEO of the Wayne County Community Foundation. Her presentation, titled “Navigating Hard Conversations: From Theory to Practice,” can be applied to many aspects of our lives: business, family, personal views etc. It’s a topic everyone can benefit from.
Sessions include improving sleep, self-defense and nutrition, to name a few.
Attendees can make a craft, learn how to enhance relationships, play with cookie decorating and much more.
The event is described as a collaborative effort developed by a committee that meets to discuss topics and presenters. The event costs $60 per person. Workshop sizes are limited, so interested individuals are encouraged to register early.
