In politics, we hear a lot about what elected officials plan to do. What matters to me is what they actually accomplish for the people they represent.
That is why I believe Congressman Rob Bresnahan deserves credit for the work he is doing for our communities.
Just recently, Rob helped secure $1 million in federal funding for early childhood education in Kingston. That investment will help the Illumination Early Learning Center expand its programming, serve more children, and train additional child care professionals. For families in our community, that means real opportunities and support that will make a difference in their everyday lives.
Rob has also secured more than $1.2 million in federal funding for a new wastewater treatment project in Monroe County. That may not be the kind of project that makes national headlines, but it is exactly the kind of investment that a strong representative should be fighting for. Reliable infrastructure strengthens our communities today while laying the foundation for future generations.
To me, that is what leadership looks like. It isn’t just making promises or giving speeches. It is knowing what your community needs, fighting to bring resources home, and then getting the job done.
In my own home county of Wayne, Rob was able to get a federal grant of $2 million for State Route 6 over the Wallenpaupack Creek Bridge, which connects two counties in his congressional district. That’s restoration of infrastructure that will have a positive impact on my community and its visitors across generations.
Rob Bresnahan is proving that he understands his responsibility as our congressman. He is putting in the work, delivering results, and making sure northeastern Pennsylvania gets the attention and investment it deserves.
That is the kind of leadership our community needs, and it is the kind of leadership I am proud to support.
