BETHEL, NY — As part of the continuing efforts and commitment to make arts programming open and accessible to the community, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is presenting four World Stage Series performances in the Event Gallery at Bethel Woods during the spring 2012 season. The first performance, the Amato Opera-in-Brief on April 5, was sold out. The next performance will be “Indian Music: Ray Spiegel & Aashish Khan,” on Sunday, April 22.
Ray Spiegel and Aashish Khan are individually distinguished artists in traditional Indian music. Spiegel trained with Tabla Master Ustad Alla Rahka; Khan is considered among the handful of India’s greatest living sarode players. Come early and learn the traditional Indian art form of rangoli, and make a design you can take home with you. The art activity starts at 12:30 p.m., with the show at 2 p.m.
