TROY, NY — Celebrate the first weekend of spring at the Capital Region Flower & Garden Expo, to be held from Friday, March 22 to Sunday, March 24 at Hudson Valley Community College.
The event features displays constructed by the region’s best floral, garden and landscape designers.
“The Capital Region Flower & Garden Expo is a must for backyard gardeners seeking inspiration or for anyone looking for a bright, colorful, uplifting event in March,” said event manager Pennie Gonzalez. There are “houseplants and garden centers, more hands-on educational exhibits, more food trucks and food offerings, and an expanded indoor farmers’ market.”
The expo attracts approximately 17,000 visitors from all over the northeast. You’ll find large-scale gardens and floral-themed exhibits, native gardens, ecological landscape education, over 50 hours of lectures and 190 retail exhibits.
At the marketplace, those in need of plants can buy houseplants, cut flowers, branches, bulbs, succulents, seeds, garden supplies and equipment, patio furniture, pottery, garden decor, floral art and jewelry.
The show is located at McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College, 80 Vandenburgh Ave.
