ONLINE — After a festival run that caught attention across the U.S. and internationally, the award-winning indie feature "And Through The Portal We Go" is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video and Relay, with additional platforms expected to follow.

Directed by Mike Hayhurst and produced by Evening Squire Productions, the film "blends dark comedy, fantasy and cult satire."

It follows Katie, Craig, and Mikey—the final three members of a cult preparing to achieve transcendence by stepping through a glowing portal in the woods. But after entering the portal, the trio find themselves trapped reliving the same day over and over again, forcing them to question not only their beliefs, but each other.

Produced on a microbudget with a nine-person cast and crew, the film was shot over nine days in Glen Spey, NY, "embracing a highly collaborative and improvisational process that helped shape the film’s naturalistic humor and emotional honesty," a press release notes. The film stars comedian Joseph Lymous (The Chair Company, The Other Two), Sarah Goeke (Forked, Law & Order SVU), Taylor Dalton Curtis, and Thomas Cambridge.

Since its world premiere at the Gig Harbor Film Festival, "And Through The Portal We Go" has screened at festivals nationwide including Phoenix Film Festival, Queens World Film Festival, Southern Fried Film Festival, Mystic Film Festival and Another Hole in the Head Film Festival. The film earned multiple awards during its run, including:

• Best Narrative Feature – Fisheye Film Festival
• Best Fantasy Feature – Another Hole in the Head Film Festival
• Best Narrative Feature – Broad Street Film Festival
• Best Acting Ensemble – Black Bear Film Festival
• Best in Queens Award – Queens World Film Festival

Critics have praised the film’s originality, humor, and emotional depth. The Alabama Take described it as a film that “questions what keeps us from being our best selves,” while MovieGoing with Bill called it “a pure delight.”

“For a film made so independently and collaboratively, getting to share it with audiences around the world through streaming is incredibly exciting,” said director Mike Hayhurst. “We made this film with a tiny team, a lot of trust, and a desire to tell a story about belief, loneliness, and human connection in a way that felt funny, strange, and honest.”

Audiences can now stream "And Through The Portal We Go" on Amazon Prime Video and Relay.
