JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — A new hiking group is meeting every three weeks starting Saturday, June 21. The first hike will occur at 11 a.m. at the Minisink Battleground Park trail in Barryville as part of a six-part hiking series throughout the Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River. A national park ranger will be present to provide information about the history of the Minisink Battleground Park. If you complete all six hikes you will be rewarded with a free “Take a Hike!” patch from the National Park Service. All ages are welcome; under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian present. Refreshments and other treats provided.
