DINGMANS FERRY, PA — Students from Delaware Valley and East Stroudsburg North High School visited the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) to help build and install a SunSaluter solar panel as part of a sustainability event on Sunday, January 12.
The event was hosted by Air Soil Water, an environmental non-profit group whose mission is achieving sustainability through education. Students were given the opportunity to learn about the future of solar tracking systems and the benefits it holds for developing countries.
Eden Full, creator and founder of Roseicollis Technologies and driving force behind the SunSaluter, gave a live Skype presentation and Q&A highlighting her decision to start a business while still in college. Following the presentation, the students built and installed their own SunSaluter, which will be used to power a greenhouse fan at PEEC.
