Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) announced it has received designation as a Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) site. According to a CRMC press release, NICHE is the only national designation that indicates a hospital’s dedication to elder care excellence.
The release said, “The NICHE designation signifies a commitment to patient-centered care for older adults. Through CRMC’s participation in the NICHE program, the hospital is able to offer evidence-based, interdisciplinary approaches that promote positive experiences for the older adults in its care, which can lead to greater satisfaction rates for patients and their families.”
