Toys and monetary gifts are being collected for four-year-old Alonzo Wood of Damascus and his family. According to Vanessa DeGori, proprietor of The Milanville Store, Alonzo has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) which will require lengthy treatment.
DeGori said, “My goal is to load a tractor full of gifts for little Alonzo and his sister and help Santa deliver them on Christmas Eve.” She said Alonzo’s gift wish includes “trucks, cars, tractors, puzzles, games, gift cards and anything else little boys would love.” She is also accepting gifts for Alonzo’s 14-year-old sister Carrissa.
Donated items can be dropped off at The Milanville Store.
Additionally, DeGori is holding a bake sale to benefit the Wood family at the Dime Bank in Damascus on December 7, beginning at 10 a.m.
For more information call DeGori at 570/729-8390.
