CALLICOON, NY — Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and the Callicoon Theater will present “Moonlight,” winner of the Golden Globe’s Best Drama Award, on Friday, January 13 through Tuesday, January 17, nightly at 7:30 p.m., with matinees at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Directed and written by Barry Jenkins and based on the play by Tarell Alvin McCraney, “Moonlight” is about a young man’s struggle to find himself, growing up in a rough neighborhood in Miami.
The Callicoon Theater is located at 30 Upper Main St. Admission costs $11, but $9 on Mondays and at matinees, and $7.50 for children under 12 at all shows.
The presentation is part of the CineArt series, a partnership between Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and the Callicoon Theater that promotes and screens independent, foreign and art films. A percentage of the profits and $1 per person from ticket sales benefit the programs and services of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, the Arts Council for Sullivan County.
