I have two questions for candidates for the Sullivan County Legislature:

1. Do you think county officials should be required to publicly disclose outside clients they may have so that voters can decide for themselves whether officials are engaged in inappropriate conflicts of interest? “Outside clients” would include those from whom the official directly or indirectly received fees in exchange for services they themselves provided, or, if they belong to a firm or company, clients they were involved in soliciting or referring to their firm.

2. If you believe client disclosure should be required, do you think voters should be provided that information before the election in November?
