On April 27, 2015 State Police at Liberty arrested the treasurer for the Firefighter's Burn Treatment Fund, William Clark, after an investigation into the theft of money from the fund's account.
The Firefighter's Burn Treatment fund was established in 1976 to assist local volunteer firefighters who are injured in the line of duty. The Fund serves firefighters in Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess and Ulster Counties. The investigation determined that Clark, age 52 of Swan Lake, NY stole over $1000 in cash from the fund over the course of the past year.
Clark was charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree and issued an appearance ticket ordering him to appear before the Town of Thompson Court and released
