The New York State Police in Montgomery announce the arrest of James W. Hoblin, age 33, of Montgomery, New York. Hoblin was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree, a Class “D” Felony.
The arrest was the result of an investigation into a larceny that occurred from a residence located in the town of Hamptonburgh. Over three thousand dollars worth of assorted jewelry was stolen from the Hamptonburgh residence. The investigation is continuing, with further charges pending.
Hoblin was arraigned by Newburgh Town Justice Richard Clarino and remanded to the Orange County jail in lieu of $1,000 cash / bond bail. Hoblin is scheduled to return to the Town of Hamptonburgh Court on 02/26/13.
