Liberty woman arrested for stolen credit card

On Friday 1/12/13 the Village of Liberty Police Department arrested Lakiay Arevalo, 30 of Liberty after an investigation into a stolen credit card from a senior housing complex in the Village of Liberty.

Village of Liberty Police had been investigating reports of a suspicious female on the grounds of the complex attempting to fraudulently obtain money and property from elderly residents.

The investigation concluded with the arrest of Arevalo on a felony charge of Grand larceny in the 4th degree and a misdemeanor charge of petit larceny. Arevalo was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail to return to court on 01/15/13.
