Posted

On 12-06-2012, the Honesdale Borough Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Jason L. GINNETTO 29 years of age from the Honesdale area. The warrant was for a charge of Theft By Deception, graded as a Felony of the 3rd degree, and several counts of Bad Checks graded as Misdemeanors.

Police allege GINNETTO purchased over $5,500.00 worth of gold jewelry from several Honesdale area businesses in November 2012 by issuing a total of six bad checks, all of which were returned to the businesses due to the account having been closed. After making the purchases, GINNETTO sold the jewelry.

On Monday evening 12-10-2012 Honesdale Borough Police served the arrest warrant on GINNETTO in Honesdale.

GINNETTO was afforded a preliminary arraignment before Magisterial District Judge Jane E. Farrell. Bail was set at $30,000.00. After failing to post bail GINNETTO was housed in the Wayne County Correctional Facility. Central Court has been scheduled for 12-19-2012 at 9:00AM at the Wayne County Courthouse.
