Fishkill man arrested for attempting to disseminate indecent materials to minors

Highland, NY - June 11, 2012 The New York State Police BCI at Highland and Loudonville announce the arrest of MICHAEL GELESKI, 25, of Fishkill, NY, for the felony of Attempted Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the 1st degree and the misdemeanor of Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The arrest stemmed from a complaint received by the State Police in Highland, NY, from a parent of a 13-year-old child who stated an unknown adult male was trying to communicate with her child by use of a social networking site online. An investigation was conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Attorney General’s Office, the State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Highland and Loudonville BCI.

GELESKI was arrested after arriving at a predetermined location where he had made plans to meet a 13-year-old female for the purpose of engaging in sexual conduct. Any minors who have been approached or have further information regarding inappropriate conduct committed by GELESKI are asked to contact State Police BCI in Highland at 845-691-2922.

GELESKI was arraigned in the city of Albany court. He was committed to the Albany County Jail, in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or bond with his next appearance scheduled for 06/13/2012.
