ROCK HILL, NY — Selected applicants of the Pat Kennedy Memorial Scholarship (PKMS) can receive up to $5,000 to apply toward their child-care program costs for one year while attending Nana’s House Child Care Center, Inc., a non-profit child care center located in Rock Hill.
This scholarship is made possible by the donations of those who wish to honor the memory of Pat Kennedy, a former Sullivan County resident who was the director of the Sullivan County Child Care Council, a volunteer for the Girls Scouts, Junior League, United Way and YWCA. She was also a director of volunteer services at the Helen Hayes Hospital, where she pioneered the day care center there.
The PKMS program is administered by the volunteer board of directors of the center. Complete details of the scholarship and applications are available at www.nanashousechildcare.org/Pat-Kennedy-Memorial-Scholarship.html.
