HONESDALE, PA — The saying “History repeats itself” is one that is becoming all too familiar as the Wayne County Historical Society finds itself once again in the position of conducting a search for an executive director. The position is open for the second time in less than a year for the same reason. The current director will be leaving the area to accompany a spouse on a career opportunity.
It was just last fall that interim director Franziska Zuercher left to join her husband for a career change requiring the family to relocate to Australia. This week, the resignation of current director Tammy Satter was accepted for the same reason, with a planned move to the Midwest.
Qualified individuals wishing to apply for the executive director position should submit their letter of interest, resume, and salary expectations to Linda Dix Lee, personnel chair, at soupie61@nep.net no later than August 31. Dix Lee can also be contacted by email to request the job posting and requirements.
