Orange Regional Medical Center offers free mammograms

MIDDLETOWN, NY — Orange Regional Medical Center will offer free mammograms on Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ray W. Moody, M.D. Breast Center located at the Orange Regional Medical Pavilion, 75 Crystal Run Rd. Appointments are limited and must be made by Wednesday, June 4.

During the hour-long appointment, you will be screened for breast cancer by having a clinical breast exam and mammography. The appointment will also include breast health education and a training video. The event is open to women without insurance who are currently not experiencing breast problems, while still meeting the following criteria: participants must be over 40 years of age and have not had a mammogram through this program within the last year’s time, women who have had a mammogram within a year’s time and are currently experiencing breast problems may still meet the requirements for participation and they are encouraged to call. The screenings will be led by Howard M. Karpoff, MD, FACS, Surgical Oncologist and Chairman of the Department of Surgery.
