REGION — The Delaware Valley Opera (DVO) and New York Opera Studio are looking for a small group of talented and serious singers interested in a workshop/summer program focused on personal artistry and performance. It will take place from June 7 to 15 in New York City.
This intensive program is designed to guide singers through the exploration of the language of the operatic art form and the creative process necessary to integrate them all into meaningful, inspiring and artistic performance. Each singer will participate in scene study, music coaching, diction coaching, music and stage rehearsals, movement classes, creative process classes, acting classes and study of 18th century drama and its influence on the operas of the day.
The fee for the program is $1,300. The fee covers all training and performance. The fee does not cover housing or food. Auditions are held in New York. There may be certain instances where a tape or CD will serve as an audition. For more information, visit www.delawarevalleyopera.org.
