Dime Bank donates $27,500 to the Wayne County Community Foundation

REGION — The Dime Bank contributed $27,500 to the Wayne County Community Foundation by way of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. Through the Wayne County Community Foundation, the EITC Program provides significant funding for enhanced academic programs for the three Wayne County School Districts. The program, which is administered by the PA Department of Economic and Community Development, provides a tax rebate program for participating businesses. The rebate can be used to promote academic opportunities for participating public school districts.

Speaking on behalf of the Wayne County Community Foundation, Executive Director Paul Edwards said, “This year the Wayne Highlands, Western Wayne and Wallenpaupack Area School District are recipients of the EITC Funding. We are deeply indebted to The Dime Bank for their continued support of this extremely important funding source for our school districts.”
