JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) will present its first Pop-Up Gallery, “Radius 12748” in Jeffersonville from June 27 to 29. This group show will celebrate the work of over 30 artists who live and work within a five mile radius of the gallery, located at 4920 State Rte. 52. The opening reception is Friday, June 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. The gallery event continues Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The DVAA is the arts council for Sullivan County. “We’re thrilled that this Pop Up event highlights DVAA’s mission, which is to advance the arts in the region through support to artists, innovative programming and collaborations with other organizations. Community support is vital to the success of an event like this, and the support from this community has been phenomenal” said Anne Hart, DVAA board member. The DVAA collaborated with Jeffersonville’s Community Outreach Group. Barbara Winfield, one of the group’s members, said, “We are working hard to bring vitality back to our village. Over and over the arts have proven to revitalize communities. We are thrilled to be in partnership with the DVAA along with our energetic and persistent volunteers and community artists who are making the Pop-Up Gallery a reality.”

There are 32 artists in “Radius 12748.” Local merchants have rolled out the red carpet for the event. Global Home is sponsoring a champagne reception Friday night. Samba Café has donated food for the reception and will be open with dinner and lunch specials through the weekend. Welsh Cabin and Mulally’s Pub have joined in with specials. The Old North Branch Inn will feature arts-themed hot dogs and ice creams on Saturday, and has added to its participation in Yardstock, a benefit for WJFF, by donating another portion of its proceeds to the DVAA.
