SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Sullivan County nonprofit arts and community groups are encouraged to apply for the 2014 Sullivan County Arts & Heritage Grants program, administered through the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance in Narrowsburg. The application deadline is Friday, June 6. Sullivan Arts & Heritage grants fund quality programs, projects, or services that focus on visual, performing, literary, media or folk arts; local or ethnic culture; architecture; or environmental arts.
Attendance at a grant writing seminar, hosted by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, is strongly encouraged. The seminar will cover a range of information including conceptualizing your project, effective grant writing tips and tools, grant application priorities and review criteria, and contractual obligations for grantees. Seminars have been scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Delaware Arts Center, Narrowsburg; Tuesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. at Sullivan County Visitor’s Association Conference Room, Ferndale; and Monday, May 5 at 6 p.m. at Lumberland Town Hall, Glen Spey.
Grants seminars are free but registration is required at dvaagrants@gmail.com or 845/252-7576. Grant applications can be picked up in the DVAA office or downloaded at artsalliancesite.org.
