NARROWSBURG, NY — Musician and integrative healer Rakel Terceno returns to Beaverbrook Cottage for a community healing sound co-creation in celebration of the spring equinox. The event will take place on Sunday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Beaverbrook Cottage, 1256 Crystal Lake Rd.
The workshop will present the science behind the healing power of sound, and will engage participants in activities including diaphragmatic breath-work, a community song and more. Following this, participants will experience a “Sound Shower Journey” led by Terceno and Jose Villalon, in celebration of the return of spring.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a blanket and pillow for lying on the floor (chairs are also provided). A half-hour lunch break will take place. Light snacks will be provided, but a bag lunch is recommended.
The fee is $30 in advance and $35 at the door. For more information and to register, email beaverbrookcottage@gmail.com or call 845/252-7506. For more information about workshop facilitator Terceno, visit www.rakelterceno.com.
