WAYNE COUNTY, PA — A woman was charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence in an accident that left her passenger dead.
Karson Mashatt-Canfield, 32, was under the influence last November when she drove off Callicoon Road and hit a guide rail in Damascus Township. According to police, her blood-alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit. She was arraigned and charged on Friday.
Her passenger, Travis Canfield, 32, died after he was thrown from the vehicle and then hit by another car.
