NARROWSBURG, NY — The Upper Delaware Council (UDC) will host a presentation titled “Mission and Values of the National Canoe Safety Patrol,” on Thursday, July 7 at 7 p.m.

It will be held at the UDC office at 211 Bridge St.

The speaker is Heather Cichowic, National Canoe Safety Patrol (NCSP) training director.

The meeting will be held in person with a remote-participation option.

The NCSP has been volunteering to assist the National Park Service with patrols and rescues on the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River since 1979.

The UDC monthly meeting will follow, and will include status reports from the Delaware River Basin Commission, New York State, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and more.
