ONLINE — An upcoming Penn State Extension webinar will cover record-keeping strategies to boost profitability and improve a sheep or goat operation’s financial health.
“Financial Planning for Flock or Herd Profitability” will occur from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 22. This session is designed for sheep and goat producers, including both new and seasoned producers.
Presenters will cover the following questions and topics:
— Why are production and business records important?
— What is a business analysis?
— How can one determine if an operation is financially healthy?
— If an operation is struggling financially, what can one do to improve it?
This session will inspire participants to review and refine their records, equipping them with the tools to turn data into actionable insights, organizers noted.
Penn State Extension offers this event at no charge, but registration by 7 p.m. April 22 is required to receive the link to access the webinar.
Registrants will receive a link to the recorded webinar within 10 business days after the live event. The recording will be accessible for six months from the event date.
