Wayne County updates visitor policy

Posted

HONESDALE, PA — In light of Wayne County’s move to the yellow phase of reopening on Friday, May 22, the Wayne County Commissioners have updated the visitation policy for county facilities.

Non-employees are still required to wear masks at all times when visiting a county facility. Employees must wear masks when interacting with the public and are encouraged to wear them in common areas; they do not need to wear them in their own workspaces.

Anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 such as cough, shortness of breath or a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, will be denied access to county buildings. Facilities are also closed to people who have travelled outside of Northeast PA to a county which is still in the red phase, in the previous three days. They are also closed to those who have traveled to New Jersey, Connecticut, or unopened counties of New York—excluding Sullivan County—in the previous 14 days.
