On July 20, 2022, Briscese was charged with 143 counts each related to Rape, Rape of a Child, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Statutory Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Indecent Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor Child, Corruption of Minors, Unlawful Contact of a Minor Child, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, Intimidation of a Witness/Victim, and other related charges.
The Briscese had sexual intercourse with a minor under age 13 from about March 2021 to February 2022. The defendant kept a record of the sexual assaults by marking his calendar with hearts, totaling 143 hearts, according to the office of Wayne County district attorney A.G. Howell.
On August 31, 2023, the defendant entered a guilty plea to Rape, Rape of a Child, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, and Child Pornography for photographs of the victim. After the guilty plea, 2 separate evaluators found the Defendant to be a sexually violent predator.
Due to the charges and his SVP (sexually violent predator) designation, Briscese is subject to a lifetime registration requirement.
