WATCH: Robert Tellefsen brings it back to the garden

The River Recordings, August 11, 2019

Posted

For the first-ever River Recordings session, NEPA-based musician Robert Tellefsen came to the office just in time to reminisce on the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.

Tellefsen attended Woodstock, where he saw Richie Havens play the now-iconic opening set of "Motherless Child" and "Freedom." Tellefsen has had a few run ins of his own with Havens, and credits the musician for teaching him a guitar style that allowed him to play through carpal tunnel and arthritis.

At the end of this recording, Tellefsen discusses Havens, Woodstock and the importance of love and connection through music.
