HIGHLAND MILLS, NY — For those ready to take the plunge into freezing waters, the 2024 Orange County Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics is nearly here. 

On November 9, attendees from across New York State will gather at Woodbury at the Rez to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics New York athletes in the Hudson Valley Region.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. and the plunge begins at 12 noon.

The Polar Plunge is one of the top fundraisers for Special Olympics New York. Participants raise money by asking friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances for donations. 

At this event last year, 77 participants raised $28,000. Individuals and teams who’d like to join this year’s plunge can register at polarplungeny.org and click on Orange County. 

Woodbury at the Rez is located at 171 Coach Wilson Tr.
