Virtual, live stage readings

ONLINE — SUNY Sullivan will virtually perform two unique theatrical experiences: “The Count Partinuple” and “Thank You/I’m Sorry.”

“The Count Partinuple” is a new translation of a fantastical play by 17th-Century Spanish playwright Ana Caro Mallen. It tells the story of the clever, magically-inclined Empress of Constantinople and her many princely suitors.

“Thank You/I’m Sorry” is a brand-new docu-drama about a daughter, a mother and the impacts of neurofibromatosis. Written and performed by Sullivan County Nurse Janna Walter and her daughter, scholar and advocate Brianna Worden, the production tells a story of love, pain and changes and is dedicated to raising awareness of neurofibromatosis, a disorder that affects over 2.5 million people world-wide.

Catch the virtual stage reading of “The Count Partinuple” on Saturday, May 9 at 8 p.m. See “Thank You/I’m Sorry” on Friday, May 8 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 10 at 2 p.m. All performances will be livestreamed via Facebook at www.facebook.com/sullyperformingarts or YouTube at www.youtube.com/user/orangeprincess1.
