PLEASANT MOUNT, PA — November 11 at 11 a.m. marks the date and time to gather at the Pleasant Mount Community Center for a time of remembrance and fellowship with fellow American Veterans.
On the docket are a presentation from the Pleasant Mount Legion Post #964 and a roll call of area Veterans.
Area churches and civic organizations that wish to acknowledge and thank their Vets for their service to our country are asked to bring a list of their Veterans to the event so that all can be recognized by the community for selfless service to their country, organizers said.
There will also be a clinic, sponsored by Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers, on site to provide much-needed immunizations.
Immediately following the event will be a hot lunch featuring homemade soups—including potato—and desserts alongside hot coffee and tea.
The event is sponsored by Legion Post #964 and friends and neighbors of the Pleasant Mount community.
The community center is located in the heart of Pleasant Mount at 377 Great Bend Tpk., right across from the park.
For more information, call adjutant Timothy Hall at 570/448-2817.
