ROSCOE and JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — The New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) is being deployed into Sullivan County starting Thursday, April 27, providing resources to Sullivan County residents impacted by the recent tornado. County residents can call the DFS Disaster Hotline at (800) 339-1759, open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., if they cannot attend in person for assistance.
DFS Consumer Assistance Staff will deploy to Sullivan County to answer New Yorkers’ questions regarding filling for homeowners insurance. They will be in Town of Rockland on Thursday, April 27, at the Roscoe Community Center, 1968 Old Route 17 Roscoe NY 12776 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.; contact town clerk Marinella Di Vita for more information. They will bein the Town of Callicoon on Friday, April 28, at the Callicoon Town Hall, 19 Legion St, Jeffersonville, NY 12748, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; contact town supervisor Tom Bose for more info.
Staff from the office of Congressman Marc Molinaro will be available at the Callicoon Town Hall on Thursday, April 27 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for assistance.
New Yorkers can call the DFS Disaster Hotline at (800) 339-1759, open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for help with banking, insurance and claim issues. They can also visit www.dfs.ny.gov for more information or to file a complaint.
