Now more than ever, the citizens of Sullivan County must demand excellence, transparency and integrity from those who serve in positions of public trust. The county deserves leadership that is accountable, principled and unafraid to confront challenges head-on. It’s time to elect a leader who embodies those values—Tim Dymond as the GOP nominee for sheriff.

As a former prosecutor with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for many years, I had the privilege of working with hundreds of law enforcement officers from state, local and federal agencies. Among them all, no one demonstrated greater dedication, trustworthiness and determination than Tim Dymond.

Tim and I partnered on the front lines, investigating and prosecuting individuals tied to large-scale criminal enterprises that threatened our communities with narcotics, illegal firearms and violence. From dismantling street gangs to confronting corruption within the ranks of public safety, including firefighters and police officers, Tim remained unwavering in his commitment to justice. His guiding principle was simple and powerful: what is right will be done.

But arrests and convictions only tell part of Tim’s story. What truly sets him apart is his character. Tim has consistently led with integrity—bridging divides, confronting difficult truths, and earning the trust of both law enforcement and the community. Within the New York State Police, he championed transparency and accountability, holding officers to the highest standards. And during times of tension and unrest, he led with honesty, humility and moral courage, forging bonds that strengthened public trust.

I was honored to stand beside Tim in service to justice—and I am even more honored to call him a friend.

Sullivan County deserves exceptional leadership. Sullivan County deserves Tim Dymond as sheriff.
