LAKE ARIEL, PA — Pennsylvania State Police at Honesdale say thieves made off with $3,000 from two piggy banks from a home in Hawley. The stolen money had been saved in $100 bills, and was taken from a children’s bedroom at 20 Moore Road in Salem Township. The home belongs to Dustin Chapman, 26 and Victoria Lanza, 25.

The couple planned to use the money for future savings accounts for their children. Police say the robbery took place sometime between July 2019 and October 2019. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at 579/253-7126.
