Shandelee Music Festival second concert

ONLINE — After a successful first virtual concert, the Shandelee Music Festival (SMF) will offer a second one on Sunday, July 19 at 3 p.m. Continuing the celebration of its 27th season, the SMF’s “Afternoon of Piano Masterworks” will feature pianists and SMF alumni Doris and Kevin Lee.

On the program for July 19 are Mozart’s Sonata in D Major, Schubert’s Allegro in A Minor (Lebenssturme) and Fantasie in F Minor, and Lutoslawski’s Variations on a Theme of Paganini.

Ten Mile River Scout Museum to open

NARROWSBURG, NY — The Ten Mile River Scout Museum, located on the grounds of Ten Mile River Scout Camps’ headquarters, 1481 County Rd. 26, will open for the summer season soon after Sullivan County enters Phase Four (on or about Thursday, July 16). The hours are Thursday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The museum will close for the summer six weeks after the opening date. Masks must be worn at all times. No more than four visitors will be allowed in at a time. Social distancing must be maintained.

The Museum at Bethel Woods open again

BETHEL, NY — As of July 13, the Musuem at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, a nonprofit cultural center located at the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, is open to the public.

All ticketing transactions will be contactless and will occur at the exterior box office windows. Due to capacity limitations, visitors are encouraged to purchase their tickets online in advance. All guests will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing guidelines. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations have been placed throughout the site.

The grounds, monument and Bindy Bazaar Trails will be open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Masks are not required on the grounds so long as social distancing is possible. Outdoor exhibits include Meet Me at Woodstock, Earth in Focus: A Celebration of Our Dynamic Planet and Crocheted Connections.

Free ‘Community Learning’ non-credited classes

ONLINE — SUNY Sullivan continues to offer free, non-credit, personal-enrichment classes as part of its Community Learning series online. Classes can be accessed through Zoom. Participants must pre-register to receive the link, which will be sent 24-hours prior to the class.

The following classes are about to be in session:

All levels Pilates will be taught by Andrea Lanzetti on Wednesdays from July 22 to August 19 from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. Register at www.sunysulli

30th annual Riverfest goes virtual

ONLINE —  With public safety in mind, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s annual street festival celebrating art, music, and ecology has gone virtual for 2020. The DVAA will host an online celebration throughout the month of July where visitors can browse its online marketplace and discover local and regional artisans, bid on original artworks in the Riverfest Poster Auction and enjoy a curated compilation of music by past performers.

There will be two live stream series each week: Monday morning at 10 a.m. and Thursday evening at 7 p.m.
