WHITE MILLS, PA — The Kruger Brothers, a Swiss bluegrass band, will perform at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 27 in the Wildflower Amphitheater on the grounds of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary.
In case of inclement weather, concerts move to the Wallenpaupack Area High School in Hawley.
Jens and Uwe Kruger were born and raised in Europe, where they started singing and playing instruments at a very young age.
The brothers began their professional career in 1979. CBS Records contracted with Jens and Uwe when Jens was 17 years old, and shortly thereafter the Krugers hosted a radio show on SRG SSR, the Swiss public broadcast group.
Several years later, they teamed up with bass player Joel Landsberg. Since their formal introduction to American audiences in 1997, the Kruger Brothers have become a fixture within the world of acoustic music through their ability to infuse classical music into bluegrass and American folk music.
