Thanksgiving will be here before you know it! It’s so hard to believe that November is halfway through, and the long winter days are around the corner.

The Narrowsburg Union is proud to exhibit the work of Lindita Lushaj as part of its winter show. Beautiful photographs of Lake Huntington will be on display, and prints are available for purchase. Proceeds from the print sale will go directly to the Lake Huntington Lake Association to protect the lake’s ecosystem. An artist’s reception will be held on Saturday, December 10 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Recently, three members of the Lake Huntington Fire Company, plus others from around the county, participated in the Sullivan County Engine Company operations refresher. Thank you for all you do to keep our towns safe.

Mark your calendar for the annual holiday parade, which takes place in Jeffersonville on Friday, November 25 at 7 pm. Santa will make an appearance at the Jeffersonville Bake Shop at 4:30 p.m. as well.

Exciting news: the Villa Roma will be open for skiing again this season, with an anticipated opening of Friday, December 23. With three ski runs and a tubing hill, the Villa Roma is the perfect spot to learn to ski, and to meet up with friends by the fireplace in the ski chalet.

Save the date for “Christmas Magic” in Narrowsburg on Sunday, December 4. More details coming soon.

Deep restorative yoga will take place upstairs in the cozy loft at Yoga by the Lake. This practice will help practitioners to deeply relax into soft and gentle postures. It takes place on Wednesdays at 6 p.m., and is located at 43 Nearing Rd. in Cochecton, NY. Classes cost $15, and include one hour of restorative practice, breathwork and meditation. This December, the Farmhouse Project will host two annual holiday makers’ markets in Livingston Manor, NY and also in Kingston, NY. A modern interpretation of the traditional craft fair, the market will feature talented artisans from studios and workshops throughout the region.

It takes place on Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the bright and airy greenhouse and barn at the Arnold House in Livingston Manor.
