LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Radio Catskill will hold a listening event about its One Small Step project at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 8 at the Arnold House.

Registration is required; register by Thursday, November 28 to mimi@wjffradio.org.

Radio Catskill has partnered with StoryCorps as part of the latter’s One Small Step (OSS) Radio Station Hubs project.

StoryCorps is a nonprofit dedicated to “helping us believe in each other by illuminating the humanity and possibility in us all, one story at a time,” Radio Catskill said.

At the event, local residents who participated in the One Small Step program will share their personal experiences with audience members about discovering common ground with someone with different backgrounds and beliefs. The audience can join a live Q&A session with the interviewees, learn how to get involved and partake of holiday refreshments.

“We’re thrilled to be one of only seven radio stations selected nationally to participate in One Small Step this year,” said Tim Bruno, general manager of Radio Catskill. “We’re excited to share this work with the community and hopefully improve civic discourse and mend political division.”

“Facilitating One Small Step has been an enriching experience,” said Isabel Braverman, the program’s producer and facilitator.

The event is free, but registration is required. Please For more information, visit www.wjffradio.org

StoryCorps’ OSS initiative and the Radio Station Hubs program are made possible by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
