LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — SUNY Sullivan has announced the grand opening of its state-of-the-art Certified Testing Center, to be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 3 in the Herman Memorial Library lobby.
The facility will provide a convenient and accessible location for individuals seeking to advance their education and careers through certification exams, the college said.
The new center will initially offer GED testing, accommodating the busy schedules of working adults, and offering evening and weekend hours. As the center expands, it will offer a wide range of certification exams, including those crucial for nursing and health science professionals.
By investing in this testing center, SUNY Sullivan is breaking down barriers to high school completion and earning GED credentials, the college said. "This initiative is a vital step in fostering a more educated and skilled workforce, benefiting both the community and local businesses."
Sullivan County residents can now achieve their career goals. With the new testing center, the need to travel out of the county for essential certifications is a thing of the past, the college said.
