LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY — Due to an anonymous social media threat, Sullivan West High School has been placed on lockdown. The school released this statement. 

“Due to an anonymous social media threat which has been reported to have been made against the high school, the building has been placed into a lockout. This means that no one will be able to enter or leave the high school. All students and staff are safe, and instruction is continuing as normal. In addition to our school resource officer, additional members of law enforcement are present at the high school, out of an abundance of caution. Dismissal at the high school will occur as normal.

All afterschool activities at the high school are cancelled for this afternoon.

We will communicate further information as it becomes available."
